This devotion was given by Our Lord to a Carmelite Nun named Sister Mary of St. Peter in France, 1844, in private revelations. It allows us to make reparation for the sins which offend God. Many first class miracles have been associated with this devotion over many years which have been recognized as authentic by the Catholic Church. These miracles attest to the authenticity of the revelations from Our Lord to Sister Mary of St. Peter.

This devotion was universally practiced before World War I, but has since become scarcely known.

In 1885, to bring attention to the importance of this devotion, Pope Leo XIII established this special devotion as an arch confraternity; and contrary to custom, He immediately established it for the ENTIRE WORLD.

The "Golden Arrow" Prayer
revealed by Our Lord to Sister Mary of St. Peter

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified, in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

After receiving this prayer, Sister Mary of St. Peter was given a vision in which she saw the Sacred Heart of Jesus delightfully wounded by this "Golden Arrow," as torrents of graces streamed from It for the conversion of sinners.
