HandmaidensFor Single Young-Adult Women
.jpg) Handmaidens is a group for young single women between the ages of 18 - 35 who desire to learn more about their faith, and of the beauty and dignity that is accorded to them in their vocation as women, which will guide them in their life choices, and be an integral part of their formation - spiritually, emotionally and psychologically. Handmaidens meets once a month for a potluck, to listen to talks given by the Sisters and chosen laity, and ending with Adoration. The fruit of these gatherings has been a strengthening in the spiritual life and a desire to live holiness of life in whatever vocation our Lord is calling them to.Next meeting: February 18, 2012 | Pilgrimage to Mount Carmel in the Desert Handmaidens Annual Pilgrimage to Mount Carmel in the Desert Dear Friends,
Praised be Jesus Christ! The Carmelite Sisters are planning for our annual Handmaidens Pilgrimage to the beauty of the desert wilderness at our retreat house in Lake Los Angeles: Mount Carmel in the Desert. If you are a young woman between the ages of 18 and 35, please prayerfully consider this grace-filled opportunity to prepare your heart to know our Lord in a deeper way this Lent. If you know of a young woman who may be interested, please invite her to consider this day as a preparation for going deeper with our Lord in her life – it may be the greatest gift you can offer her this Lenten season. Our Lord has tremendous graces waiting to pour into souls, we simply need to stop and listen, to embrace and accept. Here is the information (please see flier below, as well).
