Religious Life | Joy in Carmel

We  celebrated two joyous occasions here in Carmel on the Feast of our beloved patroness Saint Therese.  In the evening on Monday, September 30th, Isabel Galvan entered the Postulancy and the next day Sister Pia received her holy habit in preparation for her first profession in January 2014.  Both days were full of joy and fun, both Isabel and Sister Pia look radiantly happy in their new garb, and both events are featured in the slideshow below.  Enjoy!

  1. For me it’s and honor and a privilege to view the many functions happening in the lives of the Carmelites in Alhambra, it’s touching as I see the young girls choosing to be the brides of Christ. It’s an inspiration to follow them, while they walk their path as they journey with Jesus. I attended the Carmelite ceremonies (many many years ago) as a young girl, when they took place at St.Therese’s Church, there in Alhambra, now it’s much different which makes it extra special.. Thank you for sharing, may God’s awesome blessings be with all the Carmelites..
